I remember a show about Nostradamus back in the early eighties that took one of his quatrains foretelling something to the effect of "Persia raining fire down on the new city" and interpreting it as Iran launching nulear missiles at NYC. At the time it seemed a little far-fetched (still gave me nightmares at 10-11 yrs old) but may not be so much or a stretch 20 years later...

I for one don't want to find out the hard way if they were right - lets hope that Hillary will be able to prevent something like that from happening in the future (or at least hope the Israeli's stay true to form).

If you look closer...he is shooting a "bird" or to your folks across the pond and beyond, known world-wide as "the middle finger". No, it is not his IQ, but darn close.

I don't see why everybody's getting their panties in a wad about this...remember the Reagan years? The massive arms build-up, the overseas basing of new weaponry, the name calling and all the rhetoric flying? Remember all the doom-and-gloomers saying nuclear war was going to happen at any moment? Remember all the movies put out trying to scare us into knocking on the doors of Congress demanding that we get rid of nukes? What happened?
We were able to conclude some meaningful treaties with the Soviets, once they saw that we (as a nation) were serious in our resolve. Later on, all of this played a part in the downfall of the Soviet Union. Not a bad thing, in my book.
I'll bet that we will not be going to war with the Iranians anytime soon. All of this reminds of the crap we went through with North Korea the last few years. No big war erupted there, either.

While I'm not in agreement with this administration (on just about anything)......

I sure would have liked to have seen them lead (in foreign policy) with the Teddy Roosevelt axiom: "Speak softly and carry a big stick." I think that would have served us (the American people), our allies, and the rest of the world much better than this "Cowboy diplomacy" rhetoric we have gotten from these folks.

Probably too late for that now.

And.....I can only hope Hillary Clinton is not our next president.......................
