Rev. Jerry Falwell dead at 73

I always remember him for being the center of several controversies these last few years.

Re: Rev. Jerry Falwell dead at 73

The local talk radio here in Orlando (Real radio 104.1 FM-Jim Philips) was tearing him up alittle while ago with various quotes that the so-called good "Rev." said in the past. The Rev Falwell blamed the 9-11 terriost attacks on homosexuals and our liberal society and nonsense like this. Never wanting for a person to pass on of course (well except for ole Bin Laden) and I feel for his family and loved ones...BUT you won't see me sheading one tear for this guy EVER.

I too am never a big fan of the Rev.Falwell, but you gotta at least give him some due credit in promoting family values and just plain good old-fashioned moral responsibilities and sensibilities which among other things sadly lacking in these very turbulent, exaspirating and troubled times.

My prayers and condolences to the family of Mr. Falwel. May you R.I.P. Reverend Falwell.

He was wayyy over board and if you didn't think or act the exact way he said or wanted you too, then you were part of the "satonic" group, even if you are a Christian or not. So like I said in the above thread, I feel sorry for his loved-ones that they will miss him and all but these kinds of people are not good for the heath over-all in this country. He was a bigot, anti-Jewish, homofobic, anti-equal rights, hyporcrit, and just a loud-mouth jerk.

Like I said I'm no fan of his. And I also hope you ain't luring me to debate his character cause I ain't in the mood for it, buddy.
