Re: Me 262 flies again!

If you pick up this month's Air & Space magazine they have the story of the company in Washington that is currently building them for sale to the public.

I want one! Even if I can only park it in my yard (the ultimate lawn ornament).

Re: Me 262 flies again!

Waltz41 knows alot on the subject because the company making them restored the one that is on display by his home, and used the drawings for these.

I can take umbrage, I can take the cake, I can take the A-Train, I can take two and call me in the morning, but I cannot take this sitting down. Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm going to take five.

Re: Me 262 flies again!

Do you know if Waltz41 has ever posted any pics here of the one near him? That would be great to see some if he has any.

He does. He sent me one a while ago. I will see if I still have it.

Or if he reads this first, he might beat me too it. He was telling me about it having the wrong tires on it. Other than that it is a beautiful restoration.

Re: Me 262 flies again!

That was neat to watch. Do they have any of these on the airshow circuit?

Seriously - that is cool. I seem to rememeber a while back about someone making FW190 replicas. Anyone else rememeber that?
