This was a really good episode, and it makes me regret the passing of this series all the more.

It was certainly one of the best episodes -- that one vet they interviewed -- brule? (sic) was a riot, what a great attitude (this is the one that chased that 190 at low level for a long time ). And how the heck did that P-47 with its wing burning like that stay in the air (think they overdid the pyro on that part of the story -- and the dramatic narration was way over the top in spots). Still, very entertaining and a remarkable story. Wonder who that hotshot 109 pilot was? Was almost rooting for him near the end there.

You do have DVD players over there, though, right?

Other than using IJN pilots to guide them - how does the Kiaten segment have anything to do with Dogfights - I am at a loss...

Why not show something about the V-1 and how RAF pilots brought them down. That would have been cool to see!

Too bad this series is ending...so many great stories left untold.

Thumbs up Re: Dog Fights-History Channel "The Legend of Y-29" **NEW** on 3-7-08

I'm pretty sure that the Dogfights DVD sets will NOT work for Jimmy's player, as the U.S.A. versions are "Region Specific" encoded....but what do I know?

Man, I wish someone would make this bird in 1/48th? That episode of "Dogfights" last night was pretty awesome with the Me 163 segment!

1/48th or even 1/32nd scale would be perfect for this aircraft in diecast.

Brewster Buffalo, Hawk 75A, Fokker D.XXI, Polikarpov I-16, Fiat G.50, Macchi C. 200, PZL P.11c, Fieseler Fi 156 Storch ,,,, now those are real planes.

Yeah and it is even more perfect in 1/32nd scale so that I can pair it up with a Corgi 1/32nd Mossie in a 'dogfighting duel'.

For such a small fighter, 1/32nd scale would allow for much more detail.
