Nice pics PhantomPhan! Awesome looking bird, one of the most aesthetically pleasing planes the Navy's ever had. Reminds me of the old Airfix RA-5 kit that I built when I was 11.

Great pictures Phantom Phan1200! If anyone up in the DC area wants to see one of these birds, the Patuxent River Naval Air Museum has one on display. It was designed to carry thermonuclear bombs. The Air Force said that was their mission, so the Navy made it a reconnaissance platform. I'm kinda fond of the Vigilante because very early in my career I worked in a photo reconnaissance equipment group that designed and qualified camera systems mounted in the belly "canoe."

Good Pic Lee.
Gems like this are scattered all over the place.
Would be nice to start a thread of pylon sitters and keep updating our museum thread folks.
