Just got word that this book has finally shipped. I have the books on the 109's and they feature excellent color plates of the various models.

I got that plus the Hawker Hurricane on order at Amazon.com. Amazon has it priced under $14 bucks (regular price is $20) each and if you order both Fw-190 + Hurricane you get free shipping on orders
over $25.

No Corsair yet, only the Mustang.

Actually this publisher has one on the Corsair - but it is in a different format. Large hardback. And it is FANTASTIC. Artwork is incredible. Line plates/drawings. Detail drawings. Really a great book for a Corsair enthusiast. Its a personal favorite in my library.
A little pricey - but well worth it - IMO.

Here's the details:

CORSAIR 30 years of filibustering 1940-1970
by Bruno Pautigny

List price $35. Amazon has it for $23.07 new. It can be found cheaper used.

Book Description:
A complete illustrated history of one of the most successful aircraft types to emerge from World War 2.

The Vought F4U-Corsair, a real monster of a plane, was used throughout the war and was still in service at the time of the Korean War.

Bruno Pautigny is an expert aircraft illustrator and one of the key figures behind Histoire and Collections' highly successful magazine, Wingmasters.

This will be a dream book for anyone with an interest in this aircraft.

Same here - EXACTLY.

I pre-ordered back in December. I don't know how many times I've been asked to update that order .

Re: Fw 190 book from Histoire and Collections

I will be online with Amazon today for that Corsair book. I really like the detail in the Histoire & Collections books and figure that they will keep adding more planes in the future.

Amazon has not yet shipped mine. Waiting...

The two volumes on the Bf-109 are excellent.
