Re: Redding Airshow Pictures

Nice pics, Starman. I assume the Spad is a reproduction?

Yes i believe it's a reproduction Spad.
He was very lucky to have it here...just a few days before he wrecked the landing gear pretty bad...But he got it fixed up just in time.
Too Bad there was not a Fokker Dr.1 around to mock a dogfight for the airshow fans....that be cool...Flyboys 2

Re: Redding Airshow Pictures

Those are some great pics! Looks like you had a good time. I haven't seen any flyable MiGs, ever!

I see a Canberra there. Is it airworthy?

Re: Redding Airshow Pictures

THose are awsome pics. It is nice to put a face with a name bud. That is a great shot your daughter took. I also like the Red Dog P-51.

I can take umbrage, I can take the cake, I can take the A-Train, I can take two and call me in the morning, but I cannot take this sitting down. Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm going to take five.

Re: Redding Airshow Pictures

The show was a blast while i was there i got to talk with Eddie Andreini who fly's the Yak 9 and Blue Stearman during the shows. He does all right for being old guy and he's been doing this for years. He's really a great person too. There was also two Fighter pilots of the Tuskegee Airmen there and i talked with them for a bit and they have some great stories to tell
My Daughter is super she also takes pictures for her Jr. High School yearbook.
I took all the airshow pics you have seen on here and she took the A-10's while in the air and the one with me next to Red Dog P-51D Mustang.

Re: Redding Airshow Pictures

What is he,....about 50?

I think he had to be in his 60s' he's been doing airshows for 45 something years i was told.
After seeing him perform like that at that age is amazing. That kind of stunt flying is a little hard on the body after while but he is just as good as he was back in the 60's he has not lost his touch.
Really loved watching him perform in his Yak 9 and then the Stearman.
If you ever go to a airshow and Eddie's there it's worth it.
