CWHM Fly Fest 2008

Well never made to the Russel Group's show this week end but did get to Hamilton for the CWHM Fly Fest . The weather was great. Show was great, have about 2 gig worth of pics to go through and let my youngest Kevin run around with the Video camera, so I'll have to check that out to. Here's a few pics for now. The high light off the show was the Lancaster flying in formation with the Russel Group's Spitfire and Bf 109 and another Spitfire and Hurricane from Vintage Wings of Canada. The Hurricane is absolutely one of the nicest war birds I have seen.

Hey great pics! I'd love to see a Lanc in the air -- that must be a thrill!

(how'd you get so high up for the flightline shot?)

The Corgi model pre-dates the addition of the dedication in photo below.

Kabelace - fan-freakin-tastic pics!!! Man, do I regret not being there for that show. What a rare opportunity to see the formation of a Lancaster, Me109E, Hurricane IIC and 2 Spits in the air together. More please!!!!

Having been there once, I think Kabelace probably shot from the museums 2nd floor patio deck that overlooks the apron.

Re: CWHM Fly Fest 2008

Kabelace - any shots of the Lysander in flight? Corgi should consider that target tug scheme to go with their Mosquito and Canberra tugs....

Re: CWHM Fly Fest 2008

Great photos you took, you don't often get to see many Lysanders.

Brewster Buffalo, Hawk 75A, Fokker D.XXI, Polikarpov I-16, Fiat G.50, Macchi C. 200, PZL P.11c, Fieseler Fi 156 Storch ,,,, now those are real planes.
