Re: CWHM Fly Fest 2008

Would anyone else like to see that specific Bf 109E (White 14) produced in a diecast (say by Corgi)? I think it would be an excellent choice, maybe a Flying Mule exclusive if Corgi would ever get their act together.

The Corgi model pre-dates the addition of the dedication in photo below.

That would make for a good looking model. Sure would like to see Corgi put out some more of their Bf 109Es.

Re: CWHM Fly Fest 2008

Great pictures, kabelace! Maybe some more of the Lanc, please?

Never saw this one in flight

Hey great pics!

I'd love to see a Lanc in the air -- that must be a thrill!

It's really suprising just how noisy & yet majestic they are

One Lancaster alone is noisier than 2 x B.17's put together (Honest)!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I've been lucky/priveliged to witness that on several occasions.

How wonderful It'd be; to see PA.474 with the RCAF/Mynarski Lanc' side by side in the sky !

Wishful-thinking, maybe (shame there aren't more Lancasters flying).

Thanks for the pix, Kabel'

Re: CWHM Fly Fest 2008

Kabelace - any shots of the Lysander in flight? Corgi should consider that target tug scheme to go with their Mosquito and Canberra tugs....

The Lysander was just running up the engine and taxing around. They are hoping to have it in the air by the end off the summer. I can't remember how long the CWHM has been working on the restoration, but it has been at least 15 years I think. I remember being at an air show at the locale air port were I grew up and they were taken donations there to help with the restoration. They are currently working on a Bristol Bolingbroke(Canadian Blenheim) and one of the volunteers figures that's going to be another 8 years.

Pappy, no4mkit was right they have a viewing area thats around 3 stories high.

Here's a few more pics : Really wanted to see the Canso (PBY) fly but she was down for repairs.
And there is one pic for the owners of the Hobby Master Harvard.

Re: CWHM Fly Fest 2008

More neat photos. I really like the shot of the nose section of the Blenheim and the Fairey Firefly.
