| 60th anniversary of the Berlin Airlift Berlin Air Show ILA2008, International Aerospace Exhibition and Conferences, May 27 - June 1, 2008 - Press A total of 28 american pilots, 83 to 93 years old, will be flown in from different parts of the USA by German Airline Lufthansa to Berlin. On Sunday all of them will be taken to Tempelhof Airport on board of one of the > Candy Bombers < to meet 18 british pilots. The whole program is called > Meet the veterans < and also chancellor Angela Merkel will address them in her speech. On Friday, Saturday and sunday the public can meet the pilots and talk about their experience.One of the pilots will be Colonel Gail Halvorsen, | |||||||||||||
