Any forum members planning on being at the Planes of Fame airshow in Chino this Saturday?

I used to love going but with El Toro's closure and more people finding out about Chino, it's just gotten too crazy for me. The traffic off the 91spilling onto the 71 and little Euclid Avenue it's looooong sit in the car!

It's one of nicest airshows for warbirds though. I remember a few years back when they had about 3 dozen warbirds in the air at the same time flying a track around the airport......what an impressive sight!!! On top of that they usually have a mock WWII battle with the Sherman, White Scout car, etc.. I've been there and cherish the memories but most likely won't be going this weekend (and I'm only about 25 miles away as the crow flies).

Anyway, I'd recommend it to anyone to at least go once if you have the opportunity!

I was planning on making a road trip for this one this year, but alas, the flu bug has prevented it -- next year, I hope!

When I was stationed at Nellis, my son and I would make regular road trips to Chino. Fantastic museum and the folks there are real friendly.
