Back in the way back machine,,, First time a Reno air races (1986) not only was the Rarebear there, but also a Bearcat in normal Navy colors. Back then Lefty Gardner did some pretty impressive displays in his P-38 #13 White Lightning. I remember him doing a knive edge down a major portion of the flight line.

Rarebear is that the white and gold colored Bearcat with i think 77 on the tail ?

I agree, the trip was definitely worth the money, and England is not a cheap place to spend an airshow weekend

Especially these days for us Yanks, what with the currently falled dollar value.
