Thunder in The Valley

The Coulmbus, GA annual airshow is this weekend. Wonder what we'll see this year. Past performances a Black Cat PBY, FIFI the CAF's B-29, Flying Fossils F-86 now gone and many more.

Re: Thunder in The Valley

I don't think Fifi will be coming to a few shows if any this year. Enjoy the show anyway.

Re: Thunder in The Valley

Yeah but there is always a Mustang, P-47, and TBM and occasionally a B-25 or C-47.

I agree that probably will not see Fifi at any airshows for a bit, but there is some good news though. Looks like the CAF received a pledge o $1.2 million for engine work on Fifi. It also looks like Fifi and the CAF B-24 be moving to home base in Addison Texas.

Brewster Buffalo, Hawk 75A, Fokker D.XXI, Polikarpov I-16, Fiat G.50, Macchi C. 200, PZL P.11c, Fieseler Fi 156 Storch ,,,, now those are real planes.

Re: Thunder in The Valley

Now if only they'd turn the B-24 back into a bomber and not a hack plane.

Re: Thunder in The Valley

OK this year's show had 2 B-25s, a TBM, SBD, P-51 and P-47 for the WW2 fans. There were two T33s one in red and the other dressed up as a USAF Thunderbird. A T-28 Trojan, E2 Hawkeye, F-16 and F-18 for the more modern crowd. We also had a fly over by a B-52 from La. Of course there were civie birds but who cares about those?

Re: Thunder in The Valley

You're going to have a free airshow every day for a bit, Shawn.
