I have a convention that week but I think I'll skip that and go to Quebec City for the airshow.
It's not far from you and you will never see this again that close.

Re: Biggest Airshow this year

2003 - Last Reno Air Race were NFWS "Top Gun" Tomcats performed"
2004 - Nellis AFB Air Show "last official F-14 Demo"/Fencecheck.com gathering
2005 - Oceana NAS 2005 "last Tomcat airshow"/Fencecheck.com gathering
2006 – Abbotsford 2006 AirShow
2007 - Gathering Of MMuseum
2008 - Quebec Air Show - Wonders in the Sky

Now 5 demo teams in one place these destination Air Shows are seriously infringing on the die-cast budget.

Quebec Air Show Performers:

British Red Arrows
Canadian CF-18 Team
Canadian Skyhawks
Canadian Snowbirds
Dan Buchanan
Gene Soucy
Les Shockley
Patrouille de France
Rich's Incredible Pyro
Skip Stewart Airshows
USAF Thunderbirds
USN Blue Angels
X-Team

Re: Biggest Airshow this year

Wow!...what a line-up.

I think the Snowbirds do a good show, but it sure would be a heckuva lot more impressive if they were doing it in CF-118s....those Tutors just look a little dumb, but I suppose they can fly nine of them for less than the price of two or three Hornets, and they are well suited for the demo role.... It's very difficult for them to do that "scare the livin' pancakes right outta tank nut" sneak pass maneuver that the T-Birds and Blues make such a crowd-pleaser with though.

These people don't realize it yet, but they're all just about 1/10th of a second from soiling themselves...

Re: Biggest Airshow this year

Cool lineup!

The only team I haven't seen live are the Patrouille de France! I wish they could perform in the USA like the Italian Frecce de Tricolori did in 1986 at the Moffett airshow.

Saw both of them back in '88 when they did some local airshows here and down at Griffiths AFB in Rome NY.
