They just announced that the Great New England Air Show, featuring the USAF Thunderbirds, will be held 6-7 Sep 08 at Westover ARB, MA. This is the first show they have had in a few years. As many of you probably know, Westover is home to the 439th Airlift Wing, C-5 Galaxies.

It is 25 miles from the base to the New England Air Museum, which is just outside Bradley Airport in CT. See the recent posts by Tank Nut under the museum forum area for some great photos of the place!

HMMMMMMM shearwater air show or this air show or both lol. Well I want to see this one as I have never seen a air show in the us as of yet, so got to get the wife in my court to go lol.

Both the Thunderbirds and the Blue Angels will be in New England on the same weekend, as the Blues will be making their final NAS Brunswick, Maine appearance on the same dates as the Westover show...(the base is another victim of BRAC )
