Wondering if any of the Guys on here attended the Last Airshow of the season at Duxford yesterday ????????

Great flying, & aircraft displays, especially P.51 'Ferocious Frankie'........
....... (aggresively displayed at ultra-low-level curving round the end of the Flightline)
Same with the F.86 Sabre !

Nice to see the P.39 Airacobra, & the Curtiss Hawk 75 (as they were putting it away, almost tore the Roof off of someone's parked car !

Dissapointed with the comparitive lack of Corgi "bargains" (though I picked up a 'Birdcage-Corsair (AA.33001) for just £5 (lol)
Saw the Corgi B.17-E with 'scarred' paint on display,

Even better, held and 'examined' a Ju.52 'Minesweeper' - just SUPERB ! (much better than 'pix' I'd seen, prior to that)

Picked up a fantastic book, (both Quality & content) on RAF & RCAF 'nose-art' from 'Hikoki' publications - truly 1st class !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Rounded off the day, with three of us (x 2 mates), paying a mere £30 to go up in a Flight in a de-Havilland Dragon-Rapide for 20 + minutes, circling Duxford & flying round the Cambridge countryside !!!!!!!!!!!
I've included a photo of the actual aircraft that I went up in ! (G-AFIK - sitting in the 2nd winow from the back !)

They were also doing de-Havilland 'Tiger-Moth' flights, for £110 (down to £99, at the end of the show !) flying 3 of the 'beauties' !!!!!!!
