At the Reno Balloon Races early Saturday morning, a flight of AT-6 trainers perform a fly-over. Today I saw a B-17 flying close to the Reno airport. The Reno Air Races at Stead must not be far off!

Last time I was able to go to Reno air races was back in 1988 and 1989. Go Rare Bear!!!! Cannot remember which year it was, but saw and interesting P-51 prang on landing. Pilot was ok, but plane more than a little bent up.

Scolari's, a local grocery store chain, has general admission tickets at a $5 per ticket discount. You have to have their discount club card to get them. As of an hour or so ago, my neighborhood Scolari's had discount tickets for all days except Sunday.

I attended to today. Had a great time until the tragic crash of a jet racer. No official word yet, but given how he crashed and the fire that followed, there is little hope that the pilot survived.
