Re: Chico Air Fest 2007

I have no idea what to expect at this airshow....My sister in-law told me about it Monday and my wife and kids are going to a B-Day party in Chico on Sat ...She told me she pay for my tickets if i came...
I can't pass that offer up...Last year was the first airshow in years at Chico and this year they said it's even better...I want to see that A6M Zero too...I hope it's flying around with a Corsair in a mock dog fight...
Plus i'll get to see Eddie Andreini again he flys that PT-17 Stearman and Yak.

Re: Chico Air Fest 2007

The show was so-so i wish they had more fighters on hand and bombers too..The Japanese Zero was great i really like that one as well as the P-51D's that were there.
I got to talk with Eddie Andreini for a while today and i loved the U.S. Air Force Heritage Flight and U.S. Navy Legacy Flight too.
I have got to say it was hot as heck out there today too 103' degrees and the humidity was high as well..... I must of drank 5 gallions of ice water
Anyway here are the pictures and enjoy.

Re: Chico Air Fest 2007 **UPDATED WITH PICTURES**

Thanks for the pics, STARMAN. That Travel Air biplane looks quite a bit like a Fokker D VII, only with a radial engine instead of an inline. Were they actually made that way, or was it possibly modified? I don't remember seeing one looking like that before.
