Re: Wings Over the Wine Country 2007 -- this weekend

Seeing the B-25 at the airshow I went to today, in Mediterannian camoflage, just made me realize how very cool they are! Such nice looking aircraft. I'll have to get the FoV one to go with my Corgi "heavenly body" one.

Great pictures again, Pappy. Thanks!

Good thing you kept your composure while the guy next to you is getting all annoyed and worked up over nothing. It just sucks to be him!

Thanks Fly (for the moral support too! I tried not to get annoyed with the guy, but I mean 90% of the people in our section were standing...)

Here's a few more... after this I'll probably post a link to view the rest on my photo-album site, if you wish.

This first one is probably my personal favorite from the day, and perhaps my best (read luckiest) warbird capture yet -- I liket the angle and gleam of the sun reflection... Old Glory prooved to be quite photogenic!

Another one for Jim!

(that's it -- my photo posting has reached it's allowed limits... happy Monday!)

Great Pictures Pappy......You even saw a Blue noser P-51D....
I also like the Old Glory B-25 ...Looks really good in that bare metal and the sun hitting it just right.

Many thanks Pappy, that P40 rang my bell, wonderful action photos , hey how did that tailburner get in there?
It looks like a real hot day , not the sort of day to be pestered by a Killjoy.
You did well to stay calm Pappy.
You have certainly mastered that camera, onwards and upwards from now on Pappy.

God Bless America.

Wow! Thanks for all the great pics once more, Pappy. I'll try and make it next year seeing how I missed all that wonderful vintage warbirds! Btw, that OV-10 Fire fighting bird
was recently seen in action trying to survey the fire damage near my area in El Dorado County. One of that bird overflew my house lastweek, and I also saw a Grumman Tracker
dumping gallons of orange fire-retardant chemicals to contain the brush fire. My house is relatively safe from a distance where the grass fire originated, so all is well.

Oh, and the Skyraider, which didn't take to the air during the show -- though I hear it did some promotional "air show in town" tours of the area ..
