I went back over to that estate sale during lunch and i bought a few more planes while i was there.
I picked up this Spec Cast P-40 Flying Tigers ace David "Tex" Hill It's also signed by tex on the cert.
I bought this for only 10.00 at the estate sale.......That is not a bad price for a signed item from Tex Hill.
I better hide this one from Jim.....

It is a nice plane. SC is one of the few brands I don't and never have had. Signed too. I have a mahogany one in 1/24 signed, very similar.

I didn't think a SpecCast was worth that much now days...If that's the case... i did get a better deal than i bargained for.

Well, whether or not he actually moves them at the current prices is another story -- but he had that one up for ages... so he must of sold out eventually at that price. And he's still got a couple of other SC models up there on the site for big bucks... (Boyington Corsair/P-40 combo, for example...)

That was the other one i got today was a Boyington Corsair for $8.00.....I thought that was cheap for a Boyington bird...I already had one i just picked this up to have a extra one around.

Good deal certainly, but the Boyington's been going for $20 and under on ebay the last few times I saw it -- I actually like the Speccast version more than Franklin Mint's -- I sold off my Boyington FM model a little while ago and kept the SC...

Next thing you're gonna say is you got a G For George Lanc for $10........
