Re: P-40 Flying Tigers R.t. Smith 1:48 Pictures

I couldn't find the battle weary spit anywhere, so I went ahead and bought a R.T. Smith P-40 for a high price, I think it is the place you were going to send me to flyxwire. At any rate I have it now. That might have been the foolish way of getting it, but I couldn't seem to find them anywhere. A lot of places said that they used to have them, and Starman said that they were pretty limited.

I can take umbrage, I can take the cake, I can take the A-Train, I can take two and call me in the morning, but I cannot take this sitting down. Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm going to take five.

Oh skunky....You are making me want Pappy's plane...
I like the Adam & Eve logo on the P-40 too.
I see the Christmas tree in the background
You are already set up this early
What is the production number on the P-40 ? is it 2,000 or less.

How much did you have to pay for it may i ask ??
There is a seller on the bay that will have some more up shortly.
Not sure when...He gets them time after time.

Re: P-40 Flying Tigers R.t. Smith 1:48 Pictures

I paid $119.00 for it. I figured that I wanted it that bad, so I got it. I didn't know about that E-bay guy, but being that they are so rare, it might go for more any way.

HOLLY COW...
Are they really worth that much?
All i know it seems no one wants these SpecCast fighters anymore.
I know of another fighter you will want.....
These are Limited Edition Mustang's and signed by Bud Anderson comes with a cert of the planes number and Mr.Anderson also signed the cert.
Made by SpecCast look below....Enjoy
I think this P-51D is better then my Armour / Franklin mint silver Old Crow signed by Bud Anderson.

THat is awsome. I think I am a little crazy getting the P-40, but you only live once.

JP, to my knowledge I don't think any of the Carousel aircraft are limiteds. For the price you would think they would be, but collectability has never been a big concern for me anyway. I would love to see Draggin' or HM make a smallmouth Hawk. I like them so much better than the 'E' versions and on up.

I usually put my Christmas tree up the day after Labor Day or right after the first snowfall, whichever comes first.

Re: P-40 Flying Tigers R.t. Smith 1:48 Pictures

After reading this and checking our Pappy's pics I started keeping my eye out for a nice Speccast P-40.

Today I won the checker tail Trixie of the 325th for $20 and hope to post some shots when it comes in. This is the best thread I found to post this so hope nobody cares.
Any opinions on the plane or pics are appreciated too.
