Re: F-105

Hobby Master or Century Wings are the best bets to try a diecast 1:72nd scale F-105, but don't hold your breath waiting. Model Power has promised the F-105 for this year , though it will probably show up in 2009 and be in 1:100th scale with much less detail than true collectors prefer. And then, there are the folks at MRC, with their Easy Model assembled plastic kit line (1:72). The F-105 didn't make their hugely expanded list for 2008, but there's always a possibility for 2009-------or 2010------or.

Re: F-105

The F-105D, with green and tan camo. I think this one is the most iconic of the ones who flew in Vietnam.

Re: F-105

Yup .. would you like the two seat or single seat one?? I like them both myself, the one I seen down In ct was a single seater and man those birds were big !!! Very long airplane for sure.

Re: F-105

Single seat would be my first choice. It doesnt matter if it comes in 1/48 or 1/72 scale. I would love to have one to put next to my FM 1/48 Vietnam Mig -17.

This is a F-105 thread, but I wouldn't mind having both. Witty is probably the best bet for MiG.

Regards,

Sergey

Yeah, I bet Witty will be the one to spit out a MiG-31 first!

Re: F-105

You got me thinking, I just might have to pick that up of the shelf and give it another read. Been a few years, but it must have been good cause I kept it.

Ooooh yes ! It's a masterpiece. Probably the best book written about modern aviation at war.
