Is EVERYONE falling behind?

I've noticed (or at least THINK I've noticed) that almost all the manufacturers have fallen behind in their deliveries. Original distribution dates for models from Corgi (WAY behind), GeminiAces (moved from July to October--so far), HM slipping behind at least a month (for example, the 'fish' '21).

Does anyone know (assuming my perception is reality) if something has happened in China (strike, lack of facilities, backup at the ports, or the Chinese actually BUYING the things) to create the problem, or if it's just coincidence? We know about (or know as much as we can about) the Corgi problems, but are the same problems creaping into everyone's schedules?

Just curious...

Re: Is EVERYONE falling behind?

it is my understanding that they are waiting for Hobbymaster to finish making the molds for them.

Sometimes I'm amazed at how dense I can be (even though others don't seem to have that problem). Of course, Louie, you are absolutely right.

Not only that, but I think this thread turned out to be a real ***!

Re: Is EVERYONE falling behind?

I've collected long enough that I'm not really bothered by the missed release dates. Its just something I've come to expect. Sometimes I even appreciate that, because there's just so much stuff I want to buy, it gives me a chance to keep up.

Same here, on all points. My only thought was, why so many manufacturers at the same time? This has been one of the slowest summers I've experienced...

Re: Is EVERYONE falling behind?

I've been wondering about all the delays myself... Depending on the model it can get frustrating but as long as my Ju 88 and Robin Olds P-38 makes it in time for Christmas I'll be a happy camper

I can live with delays.....I can't live with EVERYTHING coming in at the same time

Re: Is EVERYONE falling behind?

My biggest concern is that my pre-orders, which were diligently spaced over a period of five months, will all arrive at the same time - total die-cast budget meltdown .
