Poll for diecast jet fighter geeks (like me)

I must admit that I am totally psych'd about Century Wings forthcoming A-7s and F-8s. I own CW's F-14s & A-6s and I personally don't consider Century Wings' birds to be overpriced at $60 a pop because they are of a quality level well above the $35-$45 jet fighters released by other manufacturers. Also, I used to collect 1/18th scale cars, which average $70-$80 each, so I generally consider diecast planes to be a bargain. My question for jet fighter collectors... do you plan collecting Century Wings' offerings in 2008?

Hell Ya! The quality of Cenury Wings is worth the money to me. I just want More and More and not just of Naval or Marine Aircraft. A F-101 or F-111 would be tops for me.LM

Yup - everything they do is top-notch! I thought I wanted a Thunderchief or Aardvark next but now I want a Skyray, Cutlass or Tiger next - I think.

I'll buy them, but not because I am totally bowled over by them, especially at $60.00.
I'll buy them because they are releasing aircraft I like.

While I'm not as high on CW as many here ( which I think may be I'm just not as educated as to just how accurate they are compared to the rest...) as long as they continue to come out with birds no one else is doing I'll probably snap at least one of each mold up. I don't need 'em all I'm really jazzed about the Corsair and Crusader.

I'd love to see what they could do with some props, too...

Re: Poll for diecast jet fighter geeks (like me)

Nope- not a one. They cost way too much no matter how nice they are. $60 - I can buy a video game or take my wife out to dinner or buy two prop fighters or get a medium WWII bomber or fill my gas tank twice or buy three DVDs or get an MP3 player or etc, etc, etc. The key word here is value and the question remains "do I really need it?" Since I basically collect WWII (but love the jets - I really do!) I don't need these. They are beautiful planes though and I really love the A-6 and A-7.

Fill the gas tank twice! That's how I look at my diecast purchases, too.

I would buy at least 1 and maybe 2 of each mold they produce. They are superb. That is the best and only way I can think of to describe them.Superb indeed!

Re: Poll for diecast jet fighter geeks (like me)

The only way I could fill my gas tank twice for the price of a CW model is if my car only had a 9 gallon tank.....

Yes, by the looks of things, I will continue to be supporting Century Wings into 2008 and hopefully beyond......I love 'em...I don't consider them overpriced, but then again I'm not acquiring diecast at a rapid rate, so I don't mind spending a bit more when I do pop for one. It's definitely worth it to me anyway.

..just have to keep throwing out more of Mrs "S" trash to make room. (which really makes for a win-win situation)
