Re: WWII 1/72 Scale Aircraft To Fill In The Gap

I've just got to stick with the Peashooter (P-36). It has one foot in the past, one foot inching into the future, and the whole aircraft drenched in the Romance of Aviation.

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

stalag - are you thinking of the Boeing P-26 Peashooter?

I went with Helldiver as it is most likely to be made. I'd love a B-29 or P-61 but I just don't see it happening yet. I'd also like off your list the following:
P-40B
TBD Devastator
And off my list, a F4U with birdcage canopy from Gemini, HM, or Dragon. A PB4Y-2 Privateer and a B-32 Dominator would be nice, but in the realm of the B-29 I'm afraid.

Right on, lanslide. - the Boeing P-26. Surely a mistake caused by (a) typing too late into the evening; (b) typing after 2nd Vodka/rocks;(c) too small chicklet keys on laptop for my myopic 74 year old eyes; (e) all of the above.

If I had to pick only one, I'd probably go with something really interesting, yet mainstream, with lots of possible liveries. That being the case, my choice would be an Oscar II. Taking the candidates offered in your list, however, I'd opt for the A-20 or the Kate.
