Anyone know the manufacturer that makes these diecast models? It is 1/100 scale, and the box says "Chinese Famous Fighter Series." Thanks for any insight.

That could be from the Easy Model line, but then again it's just me talkin'.

This is just me talkin' too, but I don't think EM makes these types, and they wouldn't make the mistake of putting the red stars INSIDE the fins. It would be interesting to know who does these, though.

BTW, Aurora used to make a Famous Fighter line way back when. I spent most of my hard-earned allowance on them...

I picked up a few of these back in 2004 on eBay, the seller's store was called universalmodels. I don't know if it still exists, I've had a heck of a time trying to find this on the Bay recently.
Anyway, here's the info posted on the side of the F-6III model-

They also make a Chinese FB-7 Flounder in the white, early production scheme (search EBay for "FBC-1"). I've got one of the MiG-29s that I don't have room to display - it anyone is interested, send me a PM.

How is the detail on these diecast models? Closer to Italeri and Armour/Franklin Mint, or closer to Model Power?

I'm thinking of picking up a couple of these on ebay. Universalmodels is still selling them, anywhere from $12 to $20 shipped to USA. There is even a YF-22 in this series.

I have their MiG-17, MiG-19, MiG-21 & FBC-1. I use their planes to fill in gaps in my 1-72 collection in much the same way as I use Model Power, Italeri, Armour (1/100) and 1/144 pre-painted plastic planes.

Their over quality is decent however their main selling point is that they are the only company who currently produces planes such as the MiG-19, FBC-1, F-8II, or A-5C in die-cast.
