The year is winding down. What do you think are the best diecast aircraft models released in 2007? ANY scale.

Here's mine (so far):

1. Carousel 1 7143, Fw 190D-13, "Yellow 10", Franz Gotz (TOP MODEL of the year, no hesitation)
2. Carousel 1 7123, Fokker Dr 1, Luftstreitkraft, Ernst Udet
3. Century Wings 586437, F-14A Tomcat, VF-84 Jolly Rogers, AJ202 (Launch Version)
4. Hobby Master HA1305, A-10 Thunderbolt II, 81st TFW, 511th TFS, Bentwaters AFB

I will add another, but before I decide, I first want to have in hand the following models: CW Moonlighters Intruder, HM JEJ Spitfire, CW Black Aces Tomcat, Corgi Taranto Swordfish.

Wow Elmer - I got the same models this year and I completely agree with your list! Although, I may add to it if I think about it a little more - stay tuned...

I know nothing of the jets that Louie mentions, but I'd have to agree with the Carousel WW I aircraft mentioned, as I have one of each.

The Nieuport 11s were 2006 releases. But they would have been on my list if they were 2007 releases.

I have to go with Dutch Buffalo. A superb model all around. If money is not an object then Carousel 1 Doras (anyone of them) would be my pick. The third place I would give to Corgi "Black" Typhoon Eurofighter, but I don't know whether it was this or last year release.

Hobby Master Brewster Buffalos would be my pick for best diecast plane for 2007. Hard choice would be which one. Singapore and Netherlands are definitely sharp looking planes, but the Saratoga & Long Island are good looking too. Hobby Master did a nice job on this series of models, with good detail and superior accuracy. I definitely feel like I got my moneys worth when picking these models up, and maybe a little bit more.

I just checked Tri's site; Corgi's Black Eurofigher Typhoon was a March 2007 release, so it qualifies. Only one C1 Dora was released this year, the one I rated as top model of the year (the other two were released late 2006).
