BBI Phantom

I just got an e-mail alert from the Mule. Anyone know anything about the 1:32 Jolly Roger Phantom due out in December '07? Two-feet long !!! But it is a Phantom and I may not be able to resist. What is the quality of BBI?

Re: BBI Phantom

Badcat has pre-pro pics and it looks really good, although it is pretty pricey.. BBI's stuff is really good quality and detailed..

Re: BBI Phantom

It's going to take a lot of self-control for me to NOT order this one -- looks pretty darn cool...

Re: BBI Phantom

I do like the looks of this F4 Phantom it's better than not having one at all.
But still the price for a 1:32 is a little high i think....
But on the other hand a price for a 1:18 Phantom from 21st was to be about 89.00
i was told...But i bet the 1:18 will go a little more then that if they make it.

Re: BBI Phantom

The price doesn't really bother me that much (read: no signifcant other). I'd just spend the money on my car stereo addiction or something equally as useless -- say food or house payment.

The only thing that could make this better if it was made of metal. Hmmmm. Two-feet of zinc alloy...my display shelves are sagging just thinking about the possibility.

Re: BBI Phantom

BBI is significantly better than 21st Century, from the one or two models that I've seen side by side. I find it interesting that 21st Century announced their Phantoms first, but BBI will apparently beat them to market...

Re: BBI Phantom

I'll wait for pics of the final thing---I have seen BBI do some amazingly stupid stuff with jets that puts Witty and Dragon errors to shame. But they have also done some really good stuff. Again--I'll wait to see the final product.

Re: BBI Phantom

Nosegear strut's on backwards. Nosegear door is USAF style. Rest looks OK from what I can see.
