They do look nice, but at that price looking is about all I would do.

Re: King & Country Warbirds Messerschmitt Me 410

Interesting. I guess I've outgrown my interest in wooden models---no matter how well done they are. Just can't readjust to accepting painted-on detail and unrealistic looking canopies, although King & Country's look infinitely better than anything I've seen in other wooden models. For those who are interested in alternative sources for low production-run or custom-made replicas, check out Bel-Air Models, a Dutch outfit that turns out metallic models on demand for $1000 and up. Their website has some very interesting pictures of planes they have already completed.

You are right about them having a broad selection, and definitely right about them being pricey too.

Re: King & Country Warbirds Messerschmitt Me 410

It looks like King & Country will produce 20 each of the new Warbirds. I still haven't seen an exact release date on these.

Thanks
Ronnie

How about instead of producing just 20 to 30 pieces....produce like 500+ of them and bring the price way down and you could sell them all as well as cheaper too! But even at 1/2 the sale price of $895.00, I still wouldn't be interested.

Re: King & Country Warbirds Messerschmitt Me 410

King & Country has looked into producing two versions of their Warbirds: the limited ones that you saw and a larger edition item that is more price friendly. So far they have been unable to find a factory that can produce the larger edition product to their specifications. From what I understand the limited aircraft are handmade by a small company. I think this is close to the limit of what they can produce and maintain the quality that King & Country is looking for. One thing to remember is that the quantity on all of King & Country items is much smaller than diecast manufacturers. There is a market for the high end wooden aircraft. King & Country sold out of the last three aircraft in about 2-3 weeks.

Thanks
Ronnie

Re: King & Country Warbirds Messerschmitt Me 410

To Ronnie - crossroads: I am seriously considering getting this one (pic below) after seeing it 'in the metal' displayed at the dealer's table from the G.I.Joe show I went to last weekend. Can you send me a "quote" of your price for this item and 'pm' me only please. Thanks.

I have this one and the tractor to go with it. I love them both. Ronnie can get the tractor for you too. You won't be disapointed at all.
