Any James Kasler diecast

Are there any planes made of Col (ret) James Kasler?

Bio:

Col. (Ret.) James Kasler

During World War II, Kasler served a two-year enlistment in the Army Air Corps as a B-29 gunner and saw combat over Japan. Following the war, he attended Butler University in Indianapolis for three years before entering the Air Force Pilot Training Program in Jan. 1950.

Kasler took his gunnery training in the F-84 at Luke Air Force Base, Ariz., in 1951, and began flying the F-86 in Korea. He flew 100 combat missions and became an ace with six destroyed MiG-15s to his credit.

After his return to the United States in 1952, he held a variety of assignments for 14 years in both the U.S. and Canada.

Then in 1966, he was assigned to Southeast Asia as the operating officer of the 354th Tactical Fighter Squadron at Takhli Royal Thai Air Base, Thailand. He was flying his 91st combat mission when his F-105 "Thunderchief" was shot down over North Vietnam. He was captured and interned by the North Vietnamese, and not released until March 4, 1973.

Col. Kasler is the recipient of three Air Force Crosses, two Silver Star Medals, the Legion of Merit, nine Distinguished Flying Crosses, eleven Air Medals, a Bronze Star Medal and Bronze Star Medal with "V" for Valor and two Purple Hearts.

None that I'm aware of. However, the closest you can have of Col Kasler's F-86 mount is too get a decal set of his F-86, 335th Fighter Interceptor Squadron, Fourth Fighter Interceptor Wing,
and get the FM/Armour # E089 F-86E U.S.A.F. "ANGEL FACE & THE BABES" 4 FIW, 366 FIS PILOT COL. ROYAL BAKER as base diecast to work with. Just a suggestion.

Re: Any James Kasler diecast

Thanks. Hopefully one of the manufacturers will see this as a good subject. I may have to get an F-86 and maybe an F-105 and modify them.

You know, with the passing of Gen Olds last week, more and more of these multi-war veterans (and aces) are being lost everyday. It would be nice to have a model of their service. Speaking of which, I just bought the Hobby Master A-10 "Playtime" of Col PJ Johnson (awarded the Air Force Cross for the mission in this plane). He is a friend of mine, and he did not know it existed. Better get yours, before he buys them all.

Btw, this is what I meant to recommend as base diecast for Col Kasler F-86 mount, and it has already "The Chiefs" emblem on the side too!

F-86E flown by U.S. Air Force ace Capt. Clifford Jolley, who served with the 335th Fighter-Interceptor Squadron, 4th Fighter-Interceptor Wing in Korea.

You would think. But this is the second time that I have shown a plane to someone with thier name on it. The other was Lt Col Dahlbeck F-16 by Franklin Mint. He retired as a BG a few years ago.
