Dragon or Witty F-16?

Hello

I am considering to buy an F-16 in 1/72 scale but I am having a problem deciding which manufacturer I wan to go with. Color schemes aside I was looking for some opinions on who makes the better product. I have no problem with Dragon's fiddly bits.

Your replies will be most appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I have four Dragon F-16s, and I prefer them for the wheels-up or wheels-down option. They are probably one of the best Dragon models available.

I love the F-16, a great modern-day jet fighter, and I own just one, the 115th FW Wisconsin ANG. Kindda gaudy, but it looks great in the hanger line up. I'd go with the Dragon on this one.

If you don't care about the fixed wheels -- I prefer Witty, actually. The Dragon's rear stabs are not right -- at least on my model -- and they really stand out. My two Witty F-16s are beauts.

Here's pics of them:

Dragon F-16's while you can still find em. You can get extra weapon sets and change their config. I do this occasionally. and I think Dragon pilots are better than the Witty ones.

I like the Witty F-16 the best...I just wished you could put the gears up while it's on the stand.
Dragon don't have pilots in their planes.

Re: Dragon or Witty F-16?

Witty hands down for me. I like to display my models wheels down on the ground, and I really don't like the Dragon fiddly bits and overall model fragility. But they are both good representations of the original, so it depends if you on what you want in gear position and weapons options.

I consider my Witty Israeli F-16 with LGBs my best F-16 model by far (and I do own a couple of Dragons...).

Which Israeli F-16 you got - the scorpion one or the barak?
