Re: F-22 Raptor Poll

Ah, the Bristol Freighter. Brings back childhood memories of those things droning overhead. The sound was unmistakeable, and although they could never pass for being sleek and attractive, they were real workhorses and had a certain charm ;-)

Re: F-22 Raptor Poll

The British realized that the Bristol 170 Freighter was too ugly even by their standards, so sometime around the early 1960s they contracted with Aviation Traders to come up with a more asthetically pleasing replacement....

The Carvair.... similiar in a appearance to that all-time beauty of an aircraft, the Armstrong Whitworth Argosy...

Re: F-22 Raptor Poll

I just hate the tail on the 22. I am old school. I like the Mig 25,29 , Su27, F-15,F-14, F-18 etc, double wagger styles. It is fugly.
