Re: AIRCRAFT: Profiles in diecast - Poll 4

As soon as Century releases some more F-14's, the F-14 will dominate. I'd buy a dozen more if they make the schemes I want.

For me its P-47s, then Mustangs, Corsairs, then all others. I'm waiting for Dragon to make more Hellcats though.

I am a sucker for 1/72 Soviet/Russian a/c, especially WWII types. I like 1/72 USN a/c after that. I will buy whatever looks cool tho

I have more P-51 Mustangs then any other fighter in my collection.
I have to say my F-14's are a close 2nd.

I usually restrict myself to 1 or 2 of each type but I love the stuka, I must have something more than 10 of them.

I love Polikarpov

Re: AIRCRAFT: Profiles in diecast - Poll 4

Me-109s and Spitfires, which I have quite a few off dominate my collection primarily due to variety of distinct types and schemes.

Sergey

Re: AIRCRAFT: Profiles in diecast - Poll 4

I started collecting Spitfires and Me109s because of my strong interest in the BoB. I have a good selection of both types , however I bought a P40 off ebay because imho opinion it was a major move forward for the US aviation industry and was one of the first really modern fighters produced in the US so in my opinion no collection is complete without at least one example.

I was very impressed with the model and so went on to collect more.
This type now holds pride of place in my collection and difficult though it is I try to purchase the new models as they come onto the market. The larger scale does stretch the budget to breaking point but better detail makes it worthwhile.

I already had a basic knowledge about its history .
I then reread all my old books on the P40 and started to delve deeper into its history and that of the pilots that flew them.
It seems the more I learn the less I know. Each new piece of information opens up new avenues of learning all the time,

God Bless America.

For me, I have 4 Dragon F-16s. They are just slightly ahead of my other aircraft.

Re: AIRCRAFT: Profiles in diecast - Poll 4

Right now, I have more MiG-21s (4) than anything else, but I only PLAN to get one more (the other NVAF version from Corgi). Of course, I don't PLAN to get that many of anything else, but we'll see.
