Me first on this one, Again thanks to the gentlemen of the hanger I have branched out into other scales. namely 1/48 and 1/35 and I must say so far I am delighted with them.

ONLY 1/72! Any bigger and I won't have the room. Like I don't have now anyway....

Re: SCALE: Profiles in diecast - Poll 2

I have a healthy mix of all scales indicated on this poll, but my 48th/35th scale items are growing furiously fast pace due to my
recent purchases of FM, Carousel, EI and GMP products. I too have space limitations, but I am very carefull and wary in choosing only those
diecasts I want to represent as "dogfighting adversaries" if possible, for example an FM F-4 vs Mig 17....an F-86 vs Mig 15....P-51 vs
Fw-190D et cetera, etc. Still, my 1:72nd collections, by far, outnumber my larger sized diecasts at the moment.

Re: SCALE: Profiles in diecast - Poll 2

I collect over many scales, but 1/48 dominates. For aircraft, I count:

93 x 1/48 models

54 x 1/72 models

8 x 1/32 models

7 x 1/144 models

3 x 1/18 models

On the way: 1 x 1/24 model (Merritt Intl P-51)

Note that I did not include my self-made plastic kit models (which only number 9 anyway at the moment).

Finally, I have 67 x 1/50 armor models, plus a few 1/43, 1/35, and 1/32.

Re: SCALE: Profiles in diecast - Poll 2

1/48th, 1/72nd, and 135th are the three scales I collect most. 1/32 stuff as well. my scale of choice is 1/48th.

Re: SCALE: Profiles in diecast - Poll 2

For me it's 1/72. Got a few 1/32s too plus the odd 1/144 and 1/100. Just got my first 1/35 on ebay last night.

Re: SCALE: Profiles in diecast - Poll 2

1:72. Again, this is due to the preponderence of birds in this scale. When I started I was a little all over the place, but as time has gone on, I've discovered that I like keeping all by tanks and planes relative to one another so 1:72 has been the scale I've stuck with.

Anything for a weird life.
