Talking Camel ( Sopwith )

Spotted this on ebay. Has anyone come across this? Seller claims: " real propellor" ( presumably spins! ) and " sound" ( interesting! )

Re: Talking Camel ( Sopwith )

Why yes, I have two - Fokker DVII and P-47 T-Bolt. Nope, these don't 'talk' just gives off very loud (decibel shattering loud engine noise) sound and props do spin as well. Too bad no machine gun fire noise - it would've been a fierce combination to usher in the "New Year"!

Re: Talking Camel ( Sopwith )

Are they true 1.72 scale? If so, I think that I'll get a couple so that I can play dogfights!

Re: Talking Camel ( Sopwith )

Sopwith's Gt.Grandaughter was on the T.V. the other night in some South-American expedition, along with Jack Osbourne (son of Sharon & Ozzy) & few other youngsters, & they remarked about her link with the 'Camel'.

Bet she's worth a few 'bob' (unlike the model).

Nope, not even close. The Sopwith Camel you see there is about the same size as the Corgi "Fighting Machines" single box hanging on pegs at some Wal*Mart stores. I got mine as gifts from a co-worker over a year ago, and I believe these cost around $15 bucks each. I fantasize doing "strafing runs" with my T-Bolt!
