Re: 1:72 Helldiver Poll

An aircraft that only a design team could love. I voted "no Interest", but on reflection I'd need it to round out my naval line up.

I'd buy this Greek Civil War version, too.

Re: 1:72 Helldiver Poll

Jim,

This is not about beauty, it's about collecting.

Isn't it ?!?

Larz

I agree it is about collecting but we all collect because a model appeals to us for whatever reason. It might be history, the pilot, the plane, paint scheme, one in a series there are numerous reasons why we collect. I know a guy who collects Tiger Meet paint schemes, another for the nose art, another will buy every P-51 or P-40 made. It's a matter of whatever turns your crank.

I dont know who you mean?

I would buy a Helldiver without a doubt, it was after all a great plane made by a great company so its a bit of a no brainer.
AND its a Hobby Master so easy on the panel lines and it will be a beauty..

God Bless America.

Re: 1:72 Helldiver Poll

If HobbyMaster could make any of the planes Shawn has shown pictures for with open cockpits and pilot figures, I'd buy several. I love this plane.

Re: 1:72 Helldiver Poll

I voted for two. Having seen Shawn's post with the USAAF A-25 and the other super schemes I reckon I'd take more. SOB 2nd Class was the name of 'The Beast' in service as far as I can recall. Was the nickname merited in fact?

Wasn't that also the rank of Clarence, the angel in Frank Capra's It's a Wonderful Life?
