Hartmann Bf-109G

I'm relatively new to diecast model collecting and here's a question I've been wanting to ask. Has any manufacturer ever released a 1/72 Bf-109G in Erich Hartmann's markings? If the answer is no, do we know why? It seems like this would be a hot selling model. I know I'd order one immediately!

Re: Hartmann Bf-109G

Dragon (Cyberhobby) released a limited edition in 1/72. You can check their site but they may be sold out as it was done last June.

Re: Hartmann Bf-109G

Matchbox was the first to release a Hartmann BF-109G in 1/72, and then Cyberhobby came out with theirs. I wouldn't be surprised if Gemini and Witty were to come out with some, but for now these are the only games in town in 1/72. However, Corgi also released one in 1/32, it is a great model, one of their better 1/32s.

Re: Hartmann Bf-109G

Franklin Mint have made three Hartmann schemes in 1/48 - but as to their accuracy

Re: Hartmann Bf-109G

Matchbox and Dragon are both the same scheme, I have the one made by Cyber Hobby (Dragon) and I am very satisfied with mine.

Unfortunately they don't make a 1/72 version with the famous Black Tulip =(

Re: Hartmann Bf-109G

Warbirdman,
Hey there. You'll find out very quickly that Dragon (Cyber Hobby is their limited edition line.) tends to come out with many repaints of the same mould, once they get started.

I would suspect that Dragon will come out with a later edition of the Hartmann airplane. The model they released was from when he had 120 kills. Since Dragon is known for putting out about 5000 repaints of each mould, I'm sure we'll see more Hartmann's in the future.

Re: Hartmann Bf-109G

Would also like to see Graf's red tulip 109 in 1:72 scale. Easy Model does make a winter model of Hartmann's plane with the partial tulip. It is long past the time when one of these manufacturers makes one that matches my avatar.

Re: Hartmann Bf-109G

That is the Hartmann plane I am hoping for most, "White 1" in late 1944.
