Re: Whos going to be the 1st to make this baby

We should mention to Hobby Master that the A-7 and F-8 can share some parts---it'd be slightly cheaper to mold those two planes, than two "unrelated" planes. It'd be like getting 2 molds for the cost of 1.8 or something.

Re: Whos going to be the 1st to make this baby

With Corgi already doing the F-4, and Century doing the F-4 next, do we really need a THIRD F-4? (And frankly, if Century's F-4 is like their F-14, there will be no need for any others) Skip the F-4 and do the SR-71!

Same as everything else---we ask for the A-10 for year after year, then everyone does it at once! We just need one good mold, have other companies do other things. Next year--there'll be 4 F-8 molds, and 3 more MiG-29 molds...

Re: Whos going to be the 1st to make this baby

YES AND YOU SURE WOULDNT WANT TO MEET ANY OF THEM!!!!
Would there be many members there?...

Just to add a little to my original post, Every morning during my holiday I would see a pair of biplanes take off and pass overhead. I was told that these were the training aircraft for the Greek airforce. However when they had time to spare these aircraft would do a little Anti Mosquito spraying around the island!!!! I just cannot imagine the RAF doing anything like that. You get more for your tax dollar in Greece or so it seems. Do any of you chaps know what type these biplanes were???
Bye the way if you get the chance to go to Greece then do so. The people are just brilliant, warm friendly and helpfull were ever you go. I love the place and its people. (With the obvious exception of the military police).

God Bless America.

The Hobby Master F-4s will be different versions than the other companies and I think the retail cost will be lower. They are responding to a large number of requests for the F-4 just like they did for the P-61, P-39, A-7 and yes the A-4. It's too bad they can't produce 100 different types of planes a year so they have to pick and choose based on 4 or 5 factors.
Hobby Master will not duplicate any paint scheme done for the Mig-29.

This IS always a winning combination in my book! A curious question, Hawk: What variant of the F-4 Phantom is HM making? Can you give us a hint?

All I can say at this time is it will be what the other guys aren't making so with a little digging through some treads you should be able to come to a conclusion. I wish I could be more straight forward.

Little wonder they're so unhappy about having people photographing their "air force". That Deep Woods Off is highly-sensitive stuff.

Hey Jim,
Those Greek Biplanes were likely Grumman AG Cats, which the Greeks did purchase from Grumman awhile back. AG cats are still being made, by the AG-Cat corporation, they are tough biplanes designed by Agricultural Applicators for AG Applicators. The Greek Air Force has such duties in an enlightened piece of mission planning, they at least give the Hellenes experience in Low Flying in case they ever need to sneak up on the Turks.
