Re: Desired Planes & Paint Schemes (All Types)

My mind is sifting like a kid contemplating the candy store.

How about MacDonald's "Putt Putt Maru"? Or a nice stripped-tail Wildcat? Or a Russian P-40 or P-47? Or a Legion Condor 109E? Oh, the options are endless...

Re: Desired Planes & Paint Schemes (All Types)

Didn't Gaincorp do this livery before? I maybe mistaken, no?

After having a little side discussion with one of our members I decided to create this thread so that you could post your most desired paint schemes. We hope that our good friends in the diecast manufacturing biz take note.

Since my discussion was about the Su-27 Flanker I'll kick things off with a Flanker scheme. Remember this thread is for any type of aircraft type.

Image origin unknown.

This image was originally posted on Airliners.net by Sven De Bevere.

I would like to see the SU-30MK variant of the Flanker produced. The two-seat canopy just looks right on the Flanker.

Re: Desired Planes & Paint Schemes (All Types)

Is it just me, or does it seem inherently wrong to paint a "bullseye" on a fighter?

The Brits do it all the time...used to joke about that with my Limey friends and they'd snap back..."Shows how confident we are."

Re: Desired Planes & Paint Schemes (All Types)

There are many Skyhawk Schemes that I would like to see.

Not to mention:
  • Nasa
  • Edwards AFB
  • many good kiwi schemes
  • Agressor squadrons

I posted two of those in the "Skyhawk of the Angels" thread.

Add these to our list of Skyhawk schemes as well. I highly recommend the last 3 books on the subject of Skyhawks for Hobby Master to peruse. Great references for the A-4 schemes, history etc.

Re: Desired Planes & Paint Schemes (All Types)

Check out these two Avengers......different and defintley pretty cool if HM or Corgi would do something like this. They would need a little bit of modification, but even without they could do them up pretty well I'm sure.
