Re: Future Releases

no4mkit & sky buffalo have supernatural powers in being able to read my mind perfectly! There are one or two more additions to their fine lists;

Messerschmitt 210/410
Hampden
Fulmar
Albacore

Keep up the good works guys and figure out where we're gonna put them if the manufacturers make even 10% of our suggestions!

Re: Future Releases

Any or all of these, Except Helldiver its way to ugly, Put Tigercat in its place. QUOTE=no4mkit;23352]Send them all links to the forum DD!! Seriously though, with this forum and the past MH1 (and UK forum), it's hard to believe they've missed out on all the free marketing research.

So my list, sticking to my area of interest (1/72 WWII), and acknowledging that some may be announced but not yet released or already available though not the highest standard, would include:

P-39 Airacobra (US and Soviet liveries)
Curtiss Helldiver
Yak-3/9
La-7/9
OS2U Kingfisher
Griffon engined Spitfires (Mk XIV, F24, etc)
Fairey Battle
Fieseler Storch
Il-2 Sturmovik
A-20 Havoc/Boston (US & British liveries)
BP Defiant
Bf-110 (BOB and nightfighter variants)
Arado 234 Blitz
Me163 Komet
SM79 Sparviero
Bristol Blenheim
Bristol Beaufighter
Bristol Beaufort
DC-3
AW Whitley
Short Stirling[/quote]

Re: Future Releases

I'm counting the most mentions so far for the Aichi "Val" - sounds good to me, and hope we eventually see one. Will look good next to the many Zeros in our collections...

Re: Future Releases

BARRACUDA!!!!!! the worst plane ever to fly (is that the right word for it) off a carrier deck. The Fleet air arm have been trying to forget it for years. Please dont put them through the pain all over again. What say you Jetfan?

Since my main interest in things that fly off carrier decks it fits my criteria. If we are only going to get models of successful planes that is going to limit many of the choices listed in this thread! Realistically the Devastor wasn't any great combat success. That reminds me- we need a Vindicator too.

But you have to admit it is an interesting looking plane. If you want to have the full line of FAA torpedo aircraft then we need an Albacore and a Barracuda. There were over 2600 built and they served in 23 squadrons. Most notable action was the April 3, 1944 attack on the Tirpitz. You can easily get 3-5 liveries out of the airframe. They served into the 1950s and reportedly there are no surviving aircraft.

Re: Future Releases

In no particular order, but in 1/72nd scale:

1. FJ-4 Fury US Navy/Marines, I do really want one in grey!!
2. SB2C Helldiver
3. AH-1W (?) Super Cobra
4. P-26 Peashooter
5. Curtis P-6 Hawk with Talon Markings
6. Devastator Torpedo Bomber
7. F-8 Crusader
8. A-7 Corsair II
9. F8F Bearcat US Navy, and then whoever
10. And can I get just one 1/72nd scale OD P-51B with OLD CROW markings, Gemini or Dragon I dont care who.
