NY Toyfair Intel...

The NY Toy Fair is around the corner.. Admiral has announced that they will be introducing a new scale and new items into the market.. Obviously, from what has been posted on the SSHQ forum, one of the new items will be a 1/32 Kate Torpedo Bomber, with an indication that there is also another plane in the works..

Here is a pic of the Kate in mock-up..

Yes, and also a Skyraider in 1/18!!! That would be a BIG bird, comparable to the Avenger..

On a side note, I assembled my $18.00 Avenger last night and this thing is absolutely HUGE!!!!!! I was debating whether to leave it on the coffee table for my wife to find in the morning, or just move it to the garage...

I moved it to the garage..

Re: NY Toyfair Intel...

Oh Yea ....The Skyraider in 1/18 is going to be BIG.
Just take your Avenger and hang it up in the garage.
I'm not kiddin but more people ask me about the 1/18's then anything else because there so big with alot of detail.
But i will soon have no more room for the 1/18's if Jason keeps up like this...

Re: NY Toyfair Intel...

BadCats might of just leaked the BIG surprise at the NY toy fair.
Admiral is going to show a new 1/18 item on sunday and if you go to
Badcat website you will see it has a listing for it title "Skunkworks" for sunday..
that either is a U-2 ,SR-71 or F-117 to be able to use that name.
The price is the highest i have seen for a 1/18 to date.
It may have nothing to do with Admiral at all ....well have to wait and see on sunday.

Re: NY Toyfair Intel...

1/32 is about my limit and I do look forward to this Kate! Skyraider is cool but no room.

I would buy a 18th scale Spitfire if I could find a deal though. Always liked that NKK version but $$$$.

Surprised no one makes a plastic 1/32 that is any good.

Leigh-Mallory and his big wings! Might as well stay on the ground for all the use they are!

Re: NY Toyfair Intel...

At which airports are you guys going to park these in.!!!???. Outside of sky hooking them to the great outdoors. Where do you find the room to accommodate such a monstrosity? (still,I would love to have one) The dimensions of a 1:18 Skyraider model is (L) 26.72" (W/S) 33.83" (H) 10.55".....
NO ROOM.....I HAVE.....NO ROOM....
