F-4 Phantom 1:18 on back burner ??

I was told this morning by a close friend that Admiral has put the F4 on the Back burner...
It was also posted on Bad Cats Blog as well..I guess Rob had talked to Jason about it ...
But the good news is the SBD and Skyraider are coming along.
I feel really bummed out on the Phantom news i really wanted that one.

Part of the reason, I'm sure, due to the way 21CT acted when AT first announced theirs! If 21CT had not cut the legs from under AT, I'm sure we would've had one or be close to having one by now.......21CT = if I can't make it or sell it then I'm gonna make sure no one else does! I need a hug.....anyone...anybody? Okay the heck with you guys....

Re: F-4 Phantom 1:18 on back burner ??

Very disappointing. I wanted one for sure (assuming done right).

Only compensated somewhat by the fact that the BBI 1/32 F-4 is really, really nice (but what are they waiting for to bring out more liveries?).

FORMERVIPERDRIVER:

The next BBI 1/32 release is a USAF Vietnam F-104---I'm surprised about that one since the F-104 wasn't exactly a big success and doesn't have the history or glamour of the F-4 or F-14.

I'm surprised BBI never capitalized on the successful 1/32 F-4 and did repaints. Now that 21st's F-4 appears dead, maybe BBI will release a Ritchie F-4D (just wishful thinking on my part).

At least I have my Hobby Master Ritchie/Cunningham F-4s because I felt the 21st 1/18 F-4 was never a sure thing.

Both failing companies have cancelled the 1:18 F-4, and probably everything else, as well. BBI's Phantom is the closest and best thing we're going to get.

BBI now only produces pieces sponsored by a distributor or a retailer. The 1:32 F-104 may be a tough sell, its not that popular. Just because there is a prototype and a tooling doesn't mean anything will be manufactured. I think a 1:32 P-38 would be a much better choice.
