Exclamation Dissapointing Admiral Toys production...

...Hey guys I recently aquired 2 Admiral toys tanks... I paid a lot of money for these and I expected much more than what I saw... I was very dissapointed with their quality... The gray tank has a crooked turret with one side bigger than the other... Turret fixture is bend and turret itself is bent... Wheels are all over the place with rear wheel bent in and has extra plastic residue which hasn't been removed... On the front where top and base of the tank meets is a wide gash... And the machine gun hole in the front looks like a rhombus... and not a rectangular shape (for the armor plate)...

The yellow tank... with a long turret... the fixture and the turret does not correspond to what it should look like... The whole mechanism is 45 degrees off. The chassis is off... And the wheels like in the tank I described above are all crooked and look like a stairwell... All accuracy is completely off...

Has any one come across this and feel cheated.... Has any one contacted Admiral Toys about quality issues....? If any one has any information please let me know...

I just don't understand how they can release models like this and kill our hopes just like that...

With the prices they are planning to sell those new releases I don't think that they will last a while longer...

Yeah, I got a couple of the first release and was not impressed... haven't looked at 'em again to be honest.

Re: Dissapointing Admiral Toys production...

I had the same barrel problem. I contacted them and they sent me a new tank, very quickly. I didn't even have to send the first one back. That was a couple of years back. Hopefully, their customer service is still good.

Re: Dissapointing Admiral Toys production...

I had a less than positive experience with them the first time around and haven't wasted my time since. Better products to spend my money on to be honest. To each his own and this is just my opinion, obviously, but I'll buy from other manufacturers going forward.

Re: Dissapointing Admiral Toys production...

I've had three of the tanks (one of each type they make), and I'm very happy. The detail is the same as any model or custom model. I'd be happy, very happy if they continued to produce to the level that they've been doing.

Re: Dissapointing Admiral Toys production...

I have the first two MK IIIs and they are generally OK. I don't see a major gun barrel or turret shape distortion. Strange that there is such a disparity from model to model---all coming from the same mold.

Their first F-86 Sabre release were much better than the 21st CT versions and from then on it looked very promising, but now Admiral looks to have dropped off the radar screen....
