Re: M-10 and Crusader

I just checked the Corgi site. These are Showcase & I have the 1st two. According to DD the 3rd one (9/30 relese) has been canceled. If it does show somewhere else I'd like to get it.

Re: M-10 and Crusader

What or who is DD? Below are two links to Ebay auctions showing the Stuarts. You will be able to see where it says "Fighting Machines" on the box. I don't know if the Fighting Machines Collection is part of the Showcase line. The Stuart I've seen was measured and came out to 1:72 scale, though I did see one online retailer selling a Stuart that seemed to be a larger scale version, but looked the same as the 1:72 scale version.

This second link shows the Corgi Stuart that Corgi USA says will be released on 9/30/2006 and you said you read somewhere that it was supposed to have been canceled, but this has already been released in the UK and available for same day shipping.

It sounds sort of confusing, but from the auction above it would seem that they have not been canceled and are being sold currently (at least in the UK). Maybe there are two ranges from Corgi that both have a Stuart in them, I know Corgi makes larger scale armor too.

Re: M-10 and Crusader

Thanks Legio! I was not up on the Stuart that is supposed to be released soon. I do have the other previous versions. I have not measured them, but they seem smaller than 1:72 scale, although the Stuarts were rather small tanks. It seems the Admiral M10 subject got hijacked to the Corgi M3, but I still would like to see an Admiral Stuart. A Corgi 1:50 scale Stuart would also be great.

Re: M-10 and Crusader

"Regular" Corgi lineup is 1:50. Smaller "Showcase" collection is various scales, and some are 1:72 - M3 halftrack, M8 Greyhound, and Stuart.

Tankguy, are those three the only 1/72 models in the Showcase range?

I think those three are the closest to 1/72 scale. Other tanks in the line measure out to about 1/76, 1/87 and close to 1/64 (maybe other scales too). No one specific scale.

DD = Diecast Direct. I've gotten all my Showcase stuff there for past 2 years. I'll check those auctions as I'd like to get the new Stuart. I was just passing on info from my former supplier. Guess I'll have to look elsewhere.
