News

I apologize for the lack of information as of late. The Panzer III M has been completed with production for over two months. The reason they have not made it to the states is because they are sharing a container with the White 7 in 1:18 scale. It is not cost effective to ship the 1:72 scale models alone in a container. We do not produce enough 1:72 scale tanks to fill a container and our container costs are very high. To offer the metal tanks at a low price we need to cut as many corners as possible. Sharing containers with other products is one of the most cost effective means of offering a low priced metal tank.

The White 7 was delayed because of facility shifts and sales box design. The 7 was transposed on the sales box and all new boxes had to be printed. One thing leads to another and you get long delays.

The White 7 was supposed to be shipped last week. Why it did not, I have been unable to ascertain. I was told by my agents in China that they expect them to leave this week. The Panzer III Ms will be on that container.

I will give you further news on the newer releases as they come available. Because of the response from this community, we have decided to look into the production of the newer line in all metal. This means complete tooling and time. I will let you know in the future the fate of the new artillery and tanks.

Regards,
Jason

Re: News

Thanks for the update Jason, we were all wondering what you guys have been up to lately. I think most will understand about the delay on the Panzer M if it helps keep cost down. .

Per Jasons last sentence, LOL. "I will let you know in the future the fate of the new artillery and tanks."

Dear ZS-VAN

I will let you know when we know what is going to happen with the artillery. Its production is undetermined at this time. It is almost impossible to offer these models, in metal, at a low price without producing paint job after paint job. They lose their popularity after the first two paint schemes. I know the collectors will buy one of each, but that makes up only a small portion of sales. We have to worry about selling the remainder of the models.

Regards,
Jason

Re: News

Thanks for the update Jason. We're all pulling for you to come through big with your new 72 scale vehicles. Consider doing part metal for some. For example, just the barrel of the 88/pak 40. I would be happy to buy multiple 88s for under $30. Also, look at something like just the hull of the M10. You can then use that same mold/running gear on the M10 and M36. Different turrets, different guns, same hull and running gear. Same goes for other stuff. Main thing I think is to keep the price below $30. Dragon and now Hobby Master are doing excellent work in plastic and metal, respectively, that is about as good as can be hoped for.

Btw, I'd like nothing better than to buy that new pz III w/skirts in multiple schemes with both the long 5cm and short 7.5cm guns!

Dear Jason,

many thanks for keeping us in the loop. It's great to know that things are moving forward, despite the slings and arrows of outrageous fortune!

I know that you are caught between two stools with regard to volume versus metal. I can appreciate that while we on the Forum have definite wish-lists, it would be hard to be the genie who could deliver all of them.

I feel that your company has been open and honest with our community. I hope that we have been open and honest with you guys.

I have to make several observations : I believe that it is difficult to sustain a low volume of a quality product in a widening market to a finite customer base without coming under pressure to compete with the likes of Unimax. At the same time, rising costs and the shrinkage of the cheap labour market in China may force many companies to remove to newer pastures. All of this factored into your costs must be a nightmare.

I hope that you go the right way for the sustained growth and increased success of your company. I will be on the lookout for your products, and hope to buy them at reasonable cost.

best of luck,

MoMo
