Re: Admiral Toys' Artillery

I am looking forward to loading up my Corgi CH-47 with some "supplies" for the troops!

Very neat idea Louie!

Re: Admiral Toys' Artillery

Arty is a great choice! I was just watching "The Story of GI Joe" and was very impressed by the scene of US troops unlimbering, emplacing and firing a 57mm AT gun during the city battle. That thing could really pump out the shells! It was also a direct copy of the British 6 pdr, and was used in all theaters over the couse of the war, so would have excellent repaint/repackage opportunities. Check it out!

Also great news on the figs! I'd love to have some prepainted figs to go with my armor. Pegasus, Caesar, and Preiser are really the ones to look at for poses and detail. The Forces of Valor figs that are at Target right now are okay, but I would have preferred they dropped some accesories for aome more figs. An eight - ten pack with a couple dupe figs of shooters and 1-2 unbased prone figs would help keep costs down. Good luck with all the upcoming stuff!

Re: Admiral Toys' Artillery

When Admiral Toys releases their US artillery, there is an excellent set of metal figures that can go with them by "AB Figures". They require being painted, but are some of the best detailed and realistically posed figures in this scale.

The figures haven't been released yet, but should be out before 2007 and before Admiral releases any of their artillery.

Re: Admiral Toys' Artillery

I really hope Admiral makes painted figs to go along with their guns. I don't have the time or temperment for that kind of thing.

I think they will, hopefully better than the attempt by Forces of Valor.
