Re: Admiral Toys' M41 Walker Bulldog!!

Aside from all the WWII movies, were these tanks active in the Big One?

Re: Admiral Toys' M41 Walker Bulldog!!

Tri-motor,

Developed after WWII to replace the Chaffee. The M41 Saw extensive service in the Korean and Vietnam conflicts. This tank was purchased by over 25 nations. We thought it would be nice to offer something in this era. It will be nice to see tanks outside of standard collections.

Regards,
Jason

Re: Admiral Toys' M41 Walker Bulldog!!

The Walker Bulldog never saw combat w/the U S Army. Some were sold to S. Vietnam. (Just looked it up).

Re: Admiral Toys' M41 Walker Bulldog!!

You sure about Korea?

During 1953, a few M-41s were sent to Korea for combat evaluation, but these saw only limited patrol action in the last days of the war. During its service life with the US Army, M41s didn't see any significant action. Too late for Korea and replaced by the M551 Sheridan by the time US commited ground troops to Vietnam. That being said, M41 platform spawned a number of variants like M42 AA configuration, M75 APC, and M44 SPG. M41 did enjoy a long service life with a great number of foreign nations. Brazil and Denmark modernized M41 to the point that it barely resembled the original.

Regards,

Sergey
