Re: Silence will soon be broken.

By no means am I asking anyone to annoy any retailers… but… if you know of a retailer that does not carry our line and you would like to see them carry our lines, feel free to give them a shout. They listen to customers much more then they listen to someone trying to sell them something.

If we receive a new retailer because of your hard work, I am sure we can offer you something for your assistance. Just let them know that they should list you as a reference in their inquiry. Give your screen name and real name to the retailer. These will be kept confidential. I am not sure what we will offer you at this time, but it will be well worth it.

Therefore, all etailers and brick and mortar stores are fair game.

Thanks for your replies and assistance.

Regards,
Jason

Re: Silence will soon be broken.

I, for one, sincerely hope that The Flying Mule will start to carry the Admiral range of 1/72 armour/artillery - I'm still looking for the grey Panzer III H (72002) and would have already bought it had it been in stock with the aforementioned retailer . (I'm also looking especially forward to the Flak 36/37 aka '88' .)

Re: Silence will soon be broken.

Jason, I just thought of a vehicle that would be a sure winner for you, the german 250 series armored halftrack. The real life vehicle was about 15' long, and was used for various purposes, often in rec units. Many thousands were built during the war, but there were, like with the 251, early war and late war body styles. I think there were something like 20 variants, including those mounting various guns. There's been not a whiff of this from any other players, and with FOV and Dragon having fine success with the larger 251 series, I think the 250 would be a big hit. Take note of this one because german stuff SELLS.

I agree with the German 250 series halftrack, I was just thinking about those the other day. That would make an excellent addition to the 1/72 diecast market.

Re: Silence will soon be broken.

I wish somebody would get into WWII diecast ship production - there is a huge opportunity there for the taking, but no-one seems willing to dip their toes in the water, as it were. Maybe its a manufacturung problem unique to diecast ships that is preventing this ??

Dear Jason,

You'll be pleased to note that I have been trying to rattle the cages of retailers as I come across them. They are interested, they say, but then start moaning about postage from the U.S., import duty, delays, moan, moan, moan!

Also, they harp on about " I have FOV, Dragon, etc. " and then point to the lack of available shelf space. This is true, because I've seen it for myself. One of the biggest retailers in Glasgow has all hiss Dragon AFVs in two small cardboard boxes in a crowded corner where customers have to perform contortions and rummage through detritus in order to serve themselves.

These guys are more interested in selling kits than catering to collectors.

As far as the U.K. is concerned I would suggest approaching " Toys R Us " the biggest toy chain. Also, I noticed that until recently the only place where you could purchase Admiral 1.72 die-casts was through ebay retailers. Now you can buy them at Toybox :

toybox100.bizland.com/military.htm

but this is mail order again.

I hope that you can hook a few U.K. retailers at the Toy Fair and make life easier for us U.K. buyers/collectors. I know that I can order directly from you and that the service is first class, but I do believe that it is vital to support the local market because without the retailers life would be a lot more difficult for us collectors.

Good luck'

MoMo
