I had this happen with one of my p-40s, too... it happened after I "nudged" the "self-actuating" gear a bit to get it to come down. Examining the gears on the pigeon-toed wheel I saw that they were basically one click too far forward compared to the other wheel. I took a deep breath and put enough torgue on the strut to click one notch back and the pigeon toed problem was solved...

Thanks Pappy, I might just give that a try.

Yeah, definitely use this tip at your own risk -- I sweat a little bit but if you use slow and steady pressure you should be fine....
