I do have a question about the MP planes, though. Because of the size, price, lack of detail compared to the bigger models and better availability, aren't these planes viewed by many people as being toys? Kind of like the modern equivalent of the Bachmann Mini-Planes? | The Model Power line can certainly be described as toy-like due to the small size and limited detail on many of its models. However, MP's quality has improved recently, especially for their eight inch span planes such as the B-25, B-26 and D)-217E. Hopefully, this will continue on their upcoming Swordfish and SBD, as well as the TBF and BF-110, if these win the poll and are put on MP's schedule. I'm not so sure that an MP F-105 will provide as much detail or add-on weaponry as I might like----but I still expect to purchase it unless one of the diecast biggies comes out with one first. |
